Check me out: My first podcast interview

She was the first podcaster I’ve ever interviewed with so I was super nervous and excited to talk about my book Indomitable. Talking with Chelsia was like talking to a friend. Christmas in July

A busy release and more

With my third book, I have come to the conclusion that I will never not be a nervous wreck during release week. My mind is a non-stop scroll of to-dos, signing up for ways to get the word out, hoping that the risks I’ve taken as a newbie will pay off, and the list goes on.

Thankfully tomorrow is the 4th and a day to take a breath and reflect. There are many concerning issues impacting women of color like me, and it is all too easy to spiral into negative thoughts, but tomorrow I am determined to put all that aside.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I am able to wake up every day and write, challenge myself and in doing so, deliver great stories to readers who love romance.

If you’re a newsletter subscriber, you know I am currently working on a short novella to be part of Hope Ford’s Heart of a Wounded Hero Series. I finished writing my first draft and it’s out for my critique partners to tear apart. I love the critical feedback I get because it makes my stories stronger. I’m hoping to release in September 🤞🏾 but will update soon. Last of the Oliveris

I’m sorry for neglecting you. It’s been a challenge for me to juggle—aka learn to navigate and post— on social media. I don’t think I’ve gotten the hang of it yet, but I make progress every day. Between that and writing, I haven’t given you as much attention as you deserve. I intend to post more regularly though. I’ve been writing like a fiend so there will be more to come.

First, the finale to the Oliver mafia series. The final book features Lorenzo and Onika and I must say I really loved this couple. They are fire together. If you haven’t done so yet, check them out.

As my release is so close to another author friend of mine, Aurora Paige, I will be joining her takeover of the group 1-Click Addict Support Group to help her celebrate her release. Join me and twenty other authors on July 1, 2022. The takeover is from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM EST. My half hour begins at 8:30 PM.

No Rest For the Wicked

I have been busy tapping away at the keys, working on my next project. It can be hard to concentrate when the weather is so nice. The first draft of René and Nico is complete. It took me a while to go through my first round of edits before sending it off to my critique partners, but once I get the marked-up version, I will dive in and slash, burn, and kill until I get something my publisher, and most importantly, you my readers, will stay awake reading.
